weekend was fine..
though a lil tiring...
haha.. marina and awang belanga.
school's play was funny..
its kind of worth the money though...

Marina was okay.
but somehow i felt that sometimes some people are just being ridiculous.
so i was helping out with this event at marina.
some cahritable event for the disables. and there were 3 different organisers including mine.

i was super pissed off with one fact.
not trying to insult or offend anyone but i think i should voice it out.
so there was this lady from the community chest organisation.
apparently she's someone holly. someone i'd rather say that people would respect as an elderly and as someone religious.
Apparently i was given the instruction by my boss that i'll have to clear everything in my booth as its free for all the kids.
but apparently this lady insist that they pay $2 to the community chest.
that i wouldnt mine if the kids come with thier parents.
but apparently. something much more disturbing that that occured that got me really aggitated.

there was this girl from YMCA who's rather special.
she came up to my booth and said, "i want to colour!"
i told her to choose any colouring template but apparently this lady!
from the community chest where people call her "SISTER"
said to this special girl...
"oh. you have to pay $2 if you want to colour"
the girl was like, "but i use my $2 already.."
she said, "oh then next time then. you cannot have it if you dont have $2"
i told her, "its free. my boss said its free for them..."
she was like, "no they HAVE TO PAY"
like whatever... *rolls eyes*

then she went over to the stall beside mine. and said...
"i want to play."
i just got soo agitated by the "SISTER" and told ain bluntly..
"Just let her play. all proceeds will go to her organisation anyways...!"
which was true!!! this is a charity bazaar!!! *rolls eyes*
HELLO!!! can you like knock some sense into this lady??!?!?

I seriously dont understand why is it a need to DONATE a MINIMUM of $2.
If its a normal person and u asked for $2 i done mind.
BUT!! these are SPECIAL kids for goodness sake!
and the best part was that. she had the cheeck to say this to me.
"oh you know these crayons.. you should give the left overs to me so that i can give the cambodian childerns."
yes without a doubt she has gOOd intensions..
but what's rather disturbing to me was that!!!!

HOW could you even think of the needy children form overseas while you actually force the needy people in your own country to pay just for them to enjoy something which is meant for them for freE??!

it doesnt make sense. and the best part of it all!!
seriously im not trying to offend anyone... but.
coming from a "sister" its rather disturbing for her to react in such dont you think so?
maybe i cant blame her for this cause i realise all 3 organisations have bad communication skills. and its rather messy.

but still.. the carnival is not a profitable organisation. even if it is. i dont mind making a loss of $2 for a special child whom wish to have fun.


after what happened. im just disappointed with the existence of such people.
i'd be rather ashamed if i were form their organisation producing people like this.
